-Over the Road Drivers & Helpers-

Parr Industries II, Inc. is headquartered at 500 11th Street, Pulaski, TN 38478. We specialize in removing and recycling non-hazardous industrial waste (liquids and sludges)  from oil water separators, grit traps, reclaim tanks, and trenches with our fleet of vacuum trucks and vacuum tankers. We have customers in 48 states and we travel from Washington State to Florida, from Maine to California and all places in-between. We do not clean food grease or sanitary sewers separators.

There is on the job training lasting 30 to 60 days, so you will not be "thrown to the  wolves".  Training pay is the same as regular pay. After training, you will be issued a tablet that will have your monthly route assignment and your driver log software on it. This is an over-the-road position, and routes typically take about 2 1/2-3 weeks to complete and are available at the first of each month.

The work starts in the first week of the month. You will be given a route to follow and when you finish and return to the shop you have four options.

Option 1 - If a route is available (about 95-100% of the time), you can go back on the road if you want and if it has been approved by operations.

Option 2 - You can work in the shop for shop pay until you are assigned a new route in the next month. (Shop pay rate is $10/hr)

Option 3 - Stay at home with no pay.

Option 4 – A combination of the above. (Stay at home a few days, work in the shop and  go on the road early - in any order)

We pay by the day.  Our drivers work 8-10 hours a day and 7 days per week if the stores/stops are open.  Driving counts as working. If stores/stops are closed and you are on the road you still get paid for that day (Some stores are open on Sundays, you must search or call to find open stores within  120 miles of your shutdown location). If your truck breaks down on the road you get paid for the day. If you take a day off while on the road with accessible customers, you will need to pay for your own hotel room and you are not paid unless you take a paid vacation day.

Class-A Drivers have sleeper bunks in the cab to sleep in while over the road.  Class-A Drivers must be able to drive a manual transmission.

Class-B drivers and Teams, single occupant hotels rooms are paid for by the company. The office personnel books rooms through hotwire.

Your food and incidentals are covered by your per diem.  Our work week is Monday thru Sunday, and you will be paid the following Friday. We are paid weekly.  This is a physically demanding job; working mostly outside, exposed to the weather. You will need to be able to slide open manway covers at or above 70 lbs., tug on and set up 3in x 20ft long hoses and climb  ladders up to 12ft high.

You must pass a background check, motor vehicle records check, physical and a drug test.  Must not have a felony as we work for airports and military bases.  Must be at least 21 years of age to drive but at least 18 years of age for a helper position.

Safety-Toe Shoes are required, steel or composite are accepted.  Must have multiple pairs of jeans to wear as you will be out on the road for weeks at a time.  Hotels will have washers and dryers for you to do laundry on the road.  5 - Parr work T-Shirts are given at the time of hire.
